I told you a few posts ago that I was coming up with my weight loss challenges for the new year… da da da dah!!!!!!
This year is gonna be fierce… that’s right, I said it… said it like 2008 Beyonce said it! Bam! (I guess I am also saying it like 2008 Emerile)
With the amount of butter and sugar I have consumed in the last 8 weeks it has got to be fierce!
The 31 Day reboot will be a juice only reboot. Now… if I feel like I am going to die or eat my own face, I will switch to the juice for two meals and eat a vegetarian meal for dinner, but my goal is to juice only. The longest I have made it juice only is 7 days.
Challenge #2 is the 365 days of exercise challenge. This will consist of exercising for at least 30 minutes every day for 365 consecutive days. This may actually be the hardest challenge. For some people this is a no-brainer. As for me… I am naturally drawn to all things in a seated position… this will take a conscious effort everyday to get up, move around, and get sweaty!
Okay so… maybe this will be the hardest challenge of the year since. I thought by putting it in a whimisical font it might take away the all consuming feeling of dread I was having when I typed it out, but alas… no. The challenge is: I am not going to eat anything dipped in a deep fryer for the whole year. In 2014 my husband and I gave up food from drive-thrus and we did it… this is the next step on my goal to break my habit of eating fried foods, also known as my “fry-ddiction”!
Anyone who would like to join in on any of these challenges is welcome to. All challenges will start as of January 1, 2015. Anyone who chooses to join me and succeeds in the challenges will receive a pretty little gift from me at the end of the year! I will be creating a new tab on my site for Challenges and each of the challenges will have it’s own article. I will be posting my progress in each of the articles throughout the year and if you would like to join… simply post your progress in the comments of the article that applies to the challenge you are participating in… at the end of the year we will see where I am at and those of you who took on the challenge with me!
Last year I used bikini pictures as my motivation to not eat food from a drive-thru and it worked. (365 Day Bikini Challenge) I still have those bikini pictures locked away. They once again are the motivation to stay on track. If I waiver on my goals the pictures of me in a bikini at my highest weight will be revealed on Facebook and on On The Plus Side Of Style. A bit ruthless? Perhaps. The tactic came from a book that I read that said you must create something you want to avoid more than doing the thing that you love… like eating crispy fried bits of everything. And so it is.
I hope everyone has enjoyed their holidays, and that everyone has a fabulous New Year! I wish success for everyone in all of the things that you are striving for… may 2015 bring you all love, health, joy, prosperity, and courage!
See you in 2015!
